A Case Study in Efficiency
The Matrix Integrated Justice System was originally developed with one of the largest counties in the US. With a growing case load of more than 20,000 cases a year, their staff was bogged down in inefficiency. The jails were crowded and costs were rising.
By re-evaluating the way they work, re-engineering their internal processes and implementing the full MatrixProsecutor application suite, the prosecutor’s office was able to achieve their arrest to disposition goals and eliminate many inefficient tasks. In addition, they linked themselves to numerous law enforcement agencies and private attorneys to further streamline the flow of information.
The result: $8 million in annual savings by reducing case processing time and jail days*
*Reduced jail days by 41,000 Jan - May ’09 vs. Average during Jan - May , 2006 – 2008
*Generated $3.3 million in actual savings first five months of ’09
